from www.Titanknifetech.com (http://www.Titanknifetech.com) , George Hubbard (correction, last name Lambert) is the knife maker. I have seen many reviews but not one single field test done. I had the desire to actually use this knife and give everybody here the down and dirty on the quality. They have the banner ad to the right of the screen here. I got two of the knives in the mail, the 6" multipurpose and the 12" commercial blade, first appearance is rugged as hell, the sheaths are perfect, no loops just two hooks to hang anywhere including your belt, pants, pocket, bait tray. The bevel on the blade is insane, not your typical razor sharp filet knife, this blade is LASER sharp and the edge appears much more durable. I am heading to the Dry Tortugas down in Key west for the next four days, gonna put these blades through hell and give a detailed account and review when I return. :seeya:

Okay, first test completed, I did the hemp test with both knives...200 cuts each through 1/4 inch rope and every cut was butter. Compared to other knives the most I have ever gotten is 76 cuts...and they both still shave the hair on my mother in laws back :taz:
The theory behind these blades is the "beaver tooth technology" where one side is coated with a carbide and the other a natural titanium the blade is made from, as the softer metal wears the carbide resharpens it just as a beaver has to keep chewing to keep their teeth strong.
The High endurance Knife edge or HEKE (tm) is the result they want to achieve.
As far as pricing goes, once I finish the field test we should make a call at that time and I am sure if we want to order in bulk I can get us a decent price. I feel like George Hubbard (correction, last name Lambert) is one of the premiere knife makers in the world, combined with this new technology I think and hope we have a winner here.
Stand by next week for a more inclusive field test. :seeya:

Okay, here are the results of my field test , gonna keep it short and sweet fellas:
When I boarded the Yankee Captain and got settled in for the trip I approached the mate Johnny and explained what I wanted to accomplish, Johnny was onboard and this is how it went and the comments I received:
The 6 inch bait knife was up to bat first;
General consensus was that the knife was not sharp upon first inspection, touche' mon frer, the secret of this blade is not razor sharpness as we are all used to says I. The secret to this blade is the insane bevel which does not allow the blade to fold, which in turn does not require constant resharpening. Oh really said the masses..let's see what this little hurricane can do!
First up...40 pound AJ, holy crap says the mate...this is like guiding a laser beam, the blade has fantastic control and you can feel every bump, bone, and parasite in the tail. Gathers the masses..lemme try...all agreed, what the hell is this and why is it bucking every popular belief we have in fine filet knives. I explained the carbide impregnation, the monkeys ate bananas and scratched their collective heads. The knife stayed on the bait table for 19 hours, every bait on the planet was chopped, cut, filleted, bonito strips were gathered...snake kings were chunked and alas on the 19th hour the words I waited for were uttered! Hey college boy...your fancy cuttin gadget is done, I couldn't cut a fart with this thing...what now? Oh really, somebody gimme a stone and let's see what happens! I get a nice wetstone and as the story goes...3 minutes of a 45 degree spanking on only one side and alas, little sucker is sharp enough to cut the sunshine off a gnats azz! The masses were astonished...I was satisfied...test was successful and after leaving 24 hours of fish stuff all over the blade and handle I wiped it off with a towel and some water and the blade is gleaming! I am satisfied that this may well be the last filet knife you'll ever need, for once the advertising holds true...well worth the price of admission in my opinion! We hit the dock and at that point I broke out the 12 inch fillet sword...one fish, two fish, skin fish, screw this...just as good as it's baby brother!
test done..I'm convinced, hope you enjoyed the read!
Prayers are sent up for your loss modman!:angel:
Thanks for your report and test results. You have me sold. I may have to save up some coin and purchase me a set of these blades. Thanks.
